Κυνόδοντας / Dogtooth (Yorgos Lanthimos, 2009)

Dogtooth conjures a transfixing cinematic stage upon which the playing-out of myth fuses with the acting-out of social norms. When the father teases the children with the rule that they may venture beyond the wall once their “canine” teeth have grown and fallen out, he sets the scene for demonstrating how the children take their Zeus “at his word,” symbolically returning myth to its oral poetic tradition in the most uncompromising of ways.”

I am at a loss for words for this movie. Definitely one of the weirdest film with the one of the most ambiguous plots I've seen. Never been this disturbed as much as confused since Elephant (Gus Van Sant, 2003).
